Privacy Policy
This privacy notice discloses the privacy practices for Dave Talks Business. This privacy notice applies solely to information collected by this web site. It will notify you of the following:
1. What personally identifiable information is collected from you through the web site, how it is used and with whom it may be shared.
2. What choices are available to you regarding the use of your data.
3. The security procedures in place to protect the misuse of your information.
4. How you can correct any inaccuracies in the information.
References policy
My work with clients is confidential by default. Most engagements involve sensitive operational details, financial context, internal team dynamics, and customer data. I do not disclose client information, internal documents, or private communications unless the client has explicitly authorized it.
Any public examples on this website are shared only to the extent a client has approved. In some cases, clients have given permission for limited disclosure such as photos together, a short written quote, or select clips from recorded coaching sessions. When those assets appear, they reflect client consent for that specific use only and do not imply broader permission to share additional details.
If you are considering hiring me and would like references, I can provide them when appropriate, subject to client availability and confidentiality constraints. In all cases, I will protect client privacy and honor any restrictions requested by the client.
Client Engagement Confidentiality
Client work is confidential by default. In Fractional COO engagements I often see sensitive operational details, financial context, team performance information, customer records, and vendor relationships. I treat all client information as private and only share details when a client has explicitly authorized limited disclosure for a specific purpose.
I keep communication and documentation practical and minimal: capture decisions, document the operating cadence, and preserve the artifacts needed to maintain momentum (scorecards, SOPs, checklists, meeting notes, and decision logs) without creating unnecessary exposure or data sprawl.
Tool access norms
- Least privilege access: I request the smallest level of access needed to do the work. Access is role-based where possible and can be time-bounded for specific projects.
- Credential handling: I do not ask for shared passwords. Where credentials are required, use your preferred password manager (or a dedicated, audited sharing method) to grant access securely.
- Where documents live: Client documents and operating artifacts should live in the client’s workspace by default (for example: your Google Drive, Microsoft 365, Notion, ClickUp, Asana, Jira, or internal wiki). I will work inside your systems whenever practical so the team retains ownership after my engagement.
- Data minimization: I avoid exporting datasets or storing copies outside your environment unless it is necessary for analysis, and then only for the shortest time required.
- Retention and cleanup: At the end of an engagement, I can confirm access removal and archive or delete working files I created outside your environment. If you have a specific retention policy, I will follow it.
